The 90 acre Rainier yard is home of our intermodal facility, rail reload, log yard, and marine terminal. At the Rainier yard you will encounter acres of recently harvested lumber that arrives via truck and rail to be sorted, debarked, and shipped to our partnering lumber mills. As with everything that arrives at Teevin Bros. Rainier yard, every part of the logs that enter our yard are responsibly used. This includes the leftover bark that is ground and shipped as beauty bark after the logs leave our facility.

Beyond the logs you will find more acres of finished lumber that was trucked to our facility for shipment via our intermodal facility. Teevin Bros. then moves the lumber to the two barges that dock at our facility for loading by the local longshoremen. In total, Teevin Bros. ships approximately 14 million board feet of lumber, enough lumber to build 700 homes every 3 weeks.

Another large operation at our Rainier yard is the rapidly growing shipping efforts to Hawaii and California. From our second berth, you will often see one of two barges docked for the loading of goods for the three-week journey to Hawaii. Goods shipped to Hawaii include anything from alfalfa to pleasure boats. Teevin Bros. is pleased to be one of the only northwest shippers to Hawaii.

The Rainier yard is also home to Sause Bros. a marine transportation company.
